Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures and patient care, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience for our patients. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper dental hygiene practices. Our practice is a small, family oriented practice in Schoolcraft, MI. The practice has been established and been in this location for nearly 30 years! We pride ourselves on patient centered care, being community oriented, and a healthy work/life balance!
Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Perform scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments as per established protocols.
Licensed to take imaging such as X-rays to assist in diagnosis.
Review patient documentation and maintain accurate records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Monitor vital signs and provide appropriate care based on patient needs.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, dietary considerations, and preventive care.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care in both pediatric and general dentistry settings.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment within the dental office.

Skills

Proficient knowledge of dental office procedures and protocols.
Strong understanding of human anatomy related to oral health.
Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software for patient management.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
Ability to perform documentation review while adhering to HIPAA standards.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
