Job Description
We are an exciting start-up dental office seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team and support our Prosthodontist in delivering top-tier dental care. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Prosthodontist during procedures such as crowns, bridges, dentures, implants, veneers, and other restorative treatments.
Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments, materials, and equipment are sterile, organized, and ready for use.
Take (X-rays) as required for diagnostic and treatment planning purposes.
Prepare and manage dental impressions for crowns, bridges, dentures, and other prosthodontic appliances.
Manage patient records, including accurate documentation of treatment plans, procedures, and patient progress.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and maintenance of prosthetic devices.
Assist in making temporary crowns, bridges, and other prosthetic devices.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies, ensuring necessary items are stocked and organized.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment in compliance with OSHA and infection control standards.
Manage patient comfort, ensuring they are relaxed and informed throughout their treatment process.
Assist with laboratory work as needed, such as creating impressions, molds, or other prosthetic materials.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED (required); Dental Assisting Certification preferred
Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience as a dental assistant, preferably in a prosthodontics or restorative dental setting.
Radiology Certification and knowledge of dental radiograph equipment.
Knowledge of Prosthodontic Procedures: Familiarity with crowns, bridges, dentures, implants, and other restorative dental treatments.
Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to explain procedures and comfort patients, including providing instructions for at-home care.
Attention to Detail: High accuracy when taking impressions, assisting with prosthetic devices, and maintaining patient records.
Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage equipment, inventory, and patient scheduling efficiently.
Basic Computer Skills: Experience with dental office management software Dentrix a plus.
CPR Certification preferred .

Pay: $19.00 - $30.00 per hour
