Job Description:
As an Orthodontic and Pediatric Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting both our orthodontic and pediatric teams. You will assist with a variety of orthodontic and pediatric procedures, manage patient interactions, and help ensure that our practice operates smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:

Orthodontic Duties:
Assist orthodontists during patient exams, appliance placements, and adjustments.
Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and materials.
Take diagnostic X-rays and impressions.
Educate patients and their families on orthodontic care and appliance maintenance.
Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans.
Pediatric Dental Duties:
Assist pediatric dentists during dental exams, cleanings, and treatments.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and materials for pediatric procedures.
Manage patient flow and ensure a positive experience for young patients and their families.
Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Schedule and confirm appointments, and manage patient records.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Dental Assistant, with additional training or experience in orthodontics and pediatrics preferred.
Previous experience in an orthodontic and/or pediatric dental practice is highly desirable.
Proficient in dental software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and families.
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Spanish speaking is a PLUS!
