Job Description

Job SummaryWe are seeking a bilingual (Spanish Speaking) dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficient workflow.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring they are sterilized and ready for use.
Take and develop dental X-rays as needed while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide support in general dentistry procedures, including endodontics and other specialized treatments.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic, acting as a liaison between patients and the dental team.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including answering phones and managing patient inquiries.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Spanish speaking.
Familiarity with dental systems and medical documentation processes is an advantage.
Knowledge of general dentistry practices, endodontics, dental surgery, and four-handed dentistry techniques.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is a plus.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
