Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome families and children in a friendly and professional manner
- Verify patient health information and provide proper documentation of findings and treatment notes
- Sterilization of dental instruments/equipment, setup of clinical operatories, and take diagnostic patient imaging
- Communicate thoughtfully to facilitate parent understanding of their child's treatment needs
- Assist pediatric dentist during examinations and treatment procedures
Qualifications:
- Certification or associate degree from an accredited dental assistant program- X-ray certification preferred- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization methods- Experience in Pediatric Dentistry and passion for helping children- Familiarity with Open Dental software systems for scheduling and record keeping- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
