Job Description:As a Dental Assistant at Ayrsley Family Dentistry, youâll play an essential role in our commitment to providing exceptional patient care. Youâll assist our skilled dentists with a variety of procedures and ensure our patients have a comfortable, stress-free experience. We are looking for a compassionate, detail-oriented team member who shares our mission of delivering top-notch dental care with integrity and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, and other dental procedures
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment, ensuring a clean and safe environment
Take and develop X-rays as needed
Record and update patient medical histories and treatment charts
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients, addressing any concerns or questions
Maintain the officeâs organization and cleanliness
Adhere to health and safety standards, ensuring patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Dental Assistant certification (required)
X-ray certification (as required by state regulations)
Previous experience in a dental office is preferred
Eaglesoft and Dental Intel experience preferred but not required
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused approach
Ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
A passion for delivering high-quality dental care and exceeding patient expectations
