Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant II in training and an experienced DAII to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental practice by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient care, and ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and various dental procedures.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Obtain dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
Monitor and record vital signs as necessary during patient visits.
Support pediatric dentistry procedures with appropriate techniques for children.
Utilize dental software for managing patient information.

Requirements

Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and procedures.
Familiarity with anatomy relevant to dental care.
Experience with medical documentation and record keeping.
Understanding of infection control protocols within a dental setting.
Previous experience in endodontics is a plus but not required.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while providing exceptional patient care.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Certification or training as a Dental Assistant is preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
