Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while supporting the dental team in various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient confidentiality.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, while adhering to safety standards.
Record vital signs and update patient medical histories as required.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
Manage appointment scheduling, including confirming patient visits and handling cancellations.
Support the front office with administrative tasks as needed, including filing and managing medical records.
Skills
Proficiency in using dentrix or similar dental practice management software is preferred.
Knowledge of medical records management and documentation practices.
Familiarity with vital signs monitoring techniques.
Strong understanding of infection control protocols within a dental setting.
Experience with medical imaging techniques, particularly in dentistry.
Knowledge of endodontics and prosthodontics procedures is a plus.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks.

Pay: $21.16 - $26.00 per hour
