Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Perform comprehensive pediatric dental exams, including diagnostic, preventative, and restorative treatments.
Treat dental issues such as cavities, gum disease, and oral infections in children.
Offer preventive care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and dental sealants.
Administer local anesthesia and sedation in a safe and comfortable manner.
Provide treatment for dental trauma and other emergencies, ensuring minimal discomfort for young patients.
Educate children and their families on proper oral hygiene practices and nutrition for optimal dental health.
Communication & Family Engagement:
Build rapport with young patients, establishing a calm and comfortable environment to reduce dental anxiety.
Communicate treatment plans and procedures clearly to parents, ensuring they are well-informed and confident in the care their children receive.
Foster long-term relationships with families, helping them make informed decisions about their children's dental care.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
Work closely with dental hygienists, assistants, and office staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Specialized Care:
Address the unique needs of children, including those with special healthcare needs or anxiety-related challenges.
Provide guidance on the management of common developmental dental concerns like teething, malocclusion, and thumb-sucking.
Clinic Operations:
Ensure that the office maintains a clean, safe, and child-friendly environment.
Participate in patient scheduling and treatment planning to help optimize workflow and patient care.
Qualifications:
Education & Training:
DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
Completion of a Pediatric Dentistry Residency program (preferred).
Licenses & Certifications:
Active dental license in [state or region].
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Board certification in Pediatric Dentistry (preferred).
Experience:
At least [X] years of experience in pediatric dentistry, although exceptional new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Experience in treating children with dental anxiety or special healthcare needs is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits:
Can make $300k or more. $1,000+ daily rate
