Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented expanded function Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments following aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Take and develop dental radiographs as required.
Manage patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering when necessary.
Schedule appointments and assist the front desk staff as needed.
Perform maintenance on autoclave, traps, and vacuum pump.
ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and knowledge:
Familiarity with dental terminology and medical records management.
Understanding of vital signs monitoring and general dentistry practices.
Proficiency in using dental software for patient management. We use Archy (Training will be provided)
Knowledge of orthodontic procedures is a plus.
Experience with medical coding and terminology is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 â 32 per week
