Job Description
We are looking for a Dental Assistant to help welcome and care for our wonderful patients. Duties would include warmly and professionally greeting patients, seating patients in the dental chair and taking routine vitals, reviewing treatment plans, taking notes and inputting them into patient charts in a professional manner, assisting the dentist with patient care chairside, escorting the patient back up to the reception area after care is completed, as well as cleaning and preparing the operatory for the next patient.
As an assistant in our practice you are a key staff contact for our patients as well as a valuable aid to the dentist - so you're an especially vital touchstone! Accordingly, we are looking for an upbeat, reliable, professional-caliber individual who engenders trust with our patients, as well as our other staff team members. It is key that an applicant possess a positive attitude, be ready to learn and have a genuine desire to become part of a tight-knit practice family.

Responsibilities include:
Update and maintain clientâs dental records
Perform routine dental polishing and assist the dentist with complex dental procedures
Take and process X-rays of patients
Advise patients on recommended oral hygiene and other patient instructions
Practice and actively maintain Infection Control within the clinical setting
Observe HIPAA regulations for protection of patient's protected health information
Required Skills/Qualification:
Exceptional customer service and organizational skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Effectively communicate with patients in a kind, courteous and patient manner
Effectively communicate with coworkers and supervisor
Ability to handle instruments in a careful and dexterous manner
Good attendance/dependability
Professional appearance
A desire to practice in a dynamic clinical care setting
A genuine interest in a long-term dental career in our practice
Dental experience a plus but not required - "skills you can train, a good attitude and positive outlook are much harder!"
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 â 36 per week
