Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA), with a desire to specialize in pediatric dentistry, to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will be passionate about serving pediatric patients and committed to providing exceptional dental care in a supportive and welcoming environment that makes each day a rewarding experience!
Key Responsibilities:

Assist board certified pediatric dentists and licensed dental therapists during dental procedures, including examinations, cleanings, fillings, and extractions both in our clinic and on-site operating room.
Provide chairside assistance to ensure the comfort and safety of pediatric patients with special healthcare needs throughout their dental appointments.
Complete dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by dentists.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for procedures, ensuring proper sterilization and infection control protocols are followed.
Educate pediatric patients and their families on oral hygiene practices and preventive dental care techniques.
Perform dental charting and documentation accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, including treatment rooms and operatories.
Collaborate with other members of the dental team to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal treatment outcomes.
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

Prior experience working in a pediatric dental setting is highly desirable but not required.
High school diploma or GED required, along with completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
Active licensure in Minnesota, DANB certification, or equivalent state jurisprudence for performing specified tasks
Current CPR
Proficiency in oral and written communication in English
