Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a Dental Hygiene Assistant to join our state of the art dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the Hygienist during various procedures.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take radiographs. (X-rays)
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices.
Manage patient records using our dental software Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries with professionalism and care.
Ensure all dental instruments are sterilized and maintained according to aseptic techniques.
Set up, breakdown and proper disinfection of treatment rooms in between patients. (OSHA GUIDLINES)

Qualifications

Must have 1 year dental assisting, additional training will be provided for the right candidate.
Familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy is a bonus.
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities in a busy practice setting.
Self motivated with an outgoing personality is a must!

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
