Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with safety protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately.
Maintain patient records using Dentrix or similar dental software systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties as required, including coordinating with the dental receptionist for efficient patient flow.
Support pediatric dentistry needs by creating a welcoming environment for children and assisting with child-specific procedures.
Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary, ensuring precision in capturing dental impressions.
Requirements
must have X-Ray Certification
Knowledge of dental anatomy and procedures is essential.
Experience with medical imaging techniques is preferred.
Familiarity with Dentrix software or similar dental management systems is a plus.
Previous experience in general dentistry is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required to maintain accurate records and ensure patient safety.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members in a professional manner.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines at all times.
Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on industry advancements.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
