Overview:
Perrinville Family Dentistry is seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. This is a part-time position for Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, in a fast-paced and friendly dental office environment. Responsibilities:

Conduct initial oral health screenings and review patient health history.
Take and record blood pressure, pulse, and any relevant patient data.
Perform dental prophylaxis and polishing to remove plaque, calculus, and stains.
Apply fluoride and other cavity-preventing agents.
Take and analyze dental x-rays for diagnostic purposes, following safety protocols.
Provide oral hygiene instruction, educate patients on the importance of good dental habits, and give personalized recommendations.
Offer guidance on nutrition and products that promote good oral health.
Assess and treat patients for periodontal disease, working closely with the dentist to develop treatment plans.
Conduct periodontal charting, scaling and root planing, and maintenance for patients with gum disease.
Follow OSHA and infection control protocols to sterilize dental instruments and disinfect treatment areas.
Document patient care, treatments, and observations thoroughly in the patient’s dental record.
Record patient progress, updating files with current information and treatment notes.
Recommend oral hygiene products that fit the needs of individual patients and assist in any treatment plans developed by the dentist.
Ensure patients are comfortable and informed during procedures.
Communicate post-procedure instructions and provide follow-up care information.
Stay updated on industry best practices and current trends in oral hygiene to provide high-quality patient care.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program
- Current Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of Washington
-Valid Dental Radiographer License for Washington state requirements.
- CPR / BLS certification
