Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our wonderful dental practice, Pearly Whites Dental Studio (formerly known as Midlothian Dental Center-Hull Street). The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their oral health is maintained through preventative care and education. As a Dental Hygienist, you will work closely with our dental team to deliver exceptional patient experiences in a friendly and professional environment.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Perform x-rays, periodontal charting, Itero scans, prophylaxis and periodontal scaling and root planing
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Review and document patient medical histories, including any changes in health status.
Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Utilize Dentrix software for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and qualifications:
Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to dental hygiene practices.
Familiarity with documentation review processes and maintaining accurate medical records.
Experience in general dentistry practices, including preventative care techniques.
Knowledge of infection control standards within a clinical setting.
Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is a plus.

Pay: $45.00 - $52.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 â 40 per week
