Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and safety. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to promote oral health and educate patients on proper dental care practices.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling procedures to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth.
Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, including proper brushing and flossing techniques.
Document patient treatments and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Utilize Eaglesoft software for documentation and scheduling purposes.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
Experience in general dentistry or dental assisting is preferred.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
