OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while promoting oral health. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.- Clean teeth and apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides.- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.- Assist in the management of patient flow within the office, ensuring efficient scheduling and timely appointments.- Utilize Dentrix software for patient management, treatment planning, and record keeping.- Collaborate with dentists to provide four-handed dentistry during procedures.- Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Requirements- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical documentation.- Experience with medical records management and coding is preferred.- Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology is a plus.- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.- Prior experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not mandatory.
