Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Dental Sterilization Aide is responsible for the cleaning and disinfecting of all dental instruments and maintaining the sterilization equipment. This person is a member of the dental health services team and performs duties and related support according to established policies and protocols of CHC dental department. This position reports to the Department Head of Dental.
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Follows established standards for cleaning and sterilizing dental instruments.
Keeps the flow of clean dental instruments available to dentists.
Keeps the sterilization area clean and organized.

Adheres to a safe and hygienic environment.
· Handles all equipment with care and always use infection control barriers. Relationships
Maintain a positive relationship within and among the dental staff, as well as with other departments within the organization.
Leadership & Stewardship
Uphold and consistently represent the values, mission, and policies of the organization at all times.
PRIMARY TASKS AND DUTIES
· Clean and sterilize all dental instruments and equipment.
· Prepare instruments for use and maintain clean work stations.
· Keep sterilization and equipment logs up-to-date.
· Maintain a clean and organized sterilization and equipment logs up-to-date.
· Adheres to safety policies by wearing personal protection equipment.
· Follow specific company and OSHA procedures when handling hazardous materials.
· Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/KEY COMPETENCIES
· Professionalism to include daily contact dental staff.
· Basic computer skills
· Attention to detail and able to multi-task.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education
· High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
· High level of communication and customer service skills
· Attention to detail
· Knowledge of OSHA guidelines preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
