OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the documentation review of patient records to ensure accuracy and compliance with health regulations.
Maintain aseptic technique and infection control protocols throughout all procedures.
Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care, including pediatric dentistry when necessary.
Utilize Practiceworks systems for patient scheduling, charting, and record management.
Support dental assisting tasks as needed, ensuring a smooth workflow within the office.
Stay updated on medical coding practices relevant to dental procedures.
Skills
Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control measures in a dental setting.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, showcasing an ability to work with children effectively.
Strong documentation review skills to maintain accurate patient records.
Familiarity with dental assisting duties and responsibilities is preferred.
Knowledge of Practiceworks systems for efficient office management and patient interaction a plus.
Understanding of medical coding related to dental services is advantageous.
Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
