Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and safety. This role requires a compassionate individual who is committed to educating patients about oral health and promoting preventive care.
Duties- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and oral health evaluations.- Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing procedures.- Apply sealants and fluoride treatments as needed.- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care practices.- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.- Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.- Utilize dental systems such as Eaglesoft for documentation and patient management.- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission.- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient care and communication.- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
ExperienceThe ideal candidate will possess the following skills:- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques.- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.- Experience in pediatrics is a plus, with the ability to engage effectively with children.- Familiarity with medical coding and documentation review processes.- Competence in medical imaging techniques relevant to dental hygiene.- Strong understanding of anatomy related to oral health.- Experience using Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management systems.- Previous experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not mandatory.
