Job Description
Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant with at least 2 years experience in the Cockeysville area. We are looking for a caring, easy-going individual to join our warm and friendly modern office. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, taking X-rays, maintaining infection control protocols, and ensuring patient comfort. Duties:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for each patient- Take and develop dental X-rays- Perform aseptic techniques and maintain infection control protocols- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation- Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality- Monitor vital signs of patients during procedures- Assist with patient assessment and triage
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program- Current certification in dental assisting (CDA) preferred- Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry- Knowledge of CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions (preferred)- Familiarity with dental software systems for record keeping- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work well in a team environment- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
