Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our dental professionals while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for our young patients. Your expertise in pediatric dentistry will be vital in assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are readily available.
Take dental X-rays as needed, following proper safety protocols.
Maintain infection control standards in accordance with established guidelines.
Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Document patient information accurately in the dental software system,
Manage patient flow to ensure efficient scheduling and minimal wait times.
Support the administrative team with medical coding and appointment scheduling as needed.
Requirements
Previous experience as a dental assistant, particularly in pediatrics, is preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control practices, and medical terminology is essential.
Familiarity with endodontics procedures is a plus.
Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding radiographic safety measures is required.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children and their families.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
