Job Description

Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations- Take and develop dental x-rays- Perform patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review- Ensure infection control protocols are followed at all times- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Experience:- At least 2 years as a dental assistant preferred- Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and techniques- Familiarity with Epic or other electronic health record systems is a plus- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work well in a team environment
Skills:- Proficient in infection control practices and sterilization techniques- Competent in taking and developing dental x-rays- Skilled in patient assessment, including vital signs monitoring- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements- Familiarity with dental assisting procedures and techniques- Proficient in medical documentation and recordkeeping- Strong understanding of dental anatomy
