Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality preventive dental care, educate patients on oral hygiene, and assist in maintaining a welcoming and professional environment.
Duties
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and applying preventive treatments like fluoride and sealants.
Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
Conduct initial oral health assessments and chart findings.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide comprehensive dental care.
Sterilize and maintain dental equipment and instruments.
Stay updated on new dental technologies and techniques.
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
State certification or licensure as a Dental Hygienist (required).
Associateâs or Bachelorâs degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
Experience with dental software and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic.
Knowledge of the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices.
Bilingual skills are an advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48.00 - $50.00 per hour
