Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our well established private practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our periodontist and ensuring a comfortable experience for our patients. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures, as well as proficiency in assisting with various periodontal treatments.
Duties
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for patient care.
Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
Manage patient records using dental software such as Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Monitor vital signs as needed during procedures to ensure patient safety.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic to meet health standards.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide high-quality care in general dentistry practices.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Knowledge of anatomy and dental terminology is essential for effective communication and assistance.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment is a plus.
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients of all ages, particularly in pediatric settings.
