Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality oral health care to our patients. You will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional care in a friendly and professional environment. We treat patients of all ages and are honored to be part of the Community Care Veterans Network.
Our office is NOT commissioned based, therefore you will NEVER be required to up-sale or pressured to oversale treatment plans to your patients. We are a private practice with a focus on obtaining optimal oral health for our patients by educating them on risk, benefits, and alternatives to all treatment proposals.
One hour appointments and a minimum of 1.5 hours for new patients. Our staff is cross-trained, so you will have the support of our auxiliary staff to assist with radiographs and sterilization.
We provide a uniform allowance, CE allowance, dental care allowance for you and your family, annual license renewal, and CPR renewal.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations, ensuring patient comfort throughout the process.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the documentation review of patient records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Perform medical imaging as needed, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care.
Stay updated on current dental practices and technologies to enhance patient care and office systems.
Requirements
Current Dental Hygiene license in NC.
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred.
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Ability to work well within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Current CPR
