Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the clinic and assist them with check-in procedures.
Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring optimal use of the dentist's time.
Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and insurance information accurately.
Handle phone inquiries and provide information regarding services, appointment availability, and office policies.
Process patient payments and maintain accurate billing records.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the office.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and waiting room.
Assist with insurance verification.
Skills
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred, with familiarity in medical office management practices.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Knowledge of ICD-9 coding is an asset for managing patient records accurately.
Proficiency in using medical administrative software such as Epic or similar systems.
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while maintaining patient privacy standards.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing appointments and records.
Experience in front desk operations within a clinic or medical environment is highly desirable.
