Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of general dentistry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials in accordance with aseptic techniques.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as necessary and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize 3D scanners for accurate imaging and documentation of dental conditions.
Manage patient records, including medical coding and documentation, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry by making children feel comfortable during their visits.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Assist with endodontic procedures as required, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures is essential.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable.
Experience with 3D scanners is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in medical documentation and coding.
Ability to work well with children in a pediatric setting is advantageous.
Understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Willingness to learn about endodontics and other specialized dental practices.
