Lake Roosevelt Community Health Centers (LRCHC) needs an outgoing, well-organized, reliable person to serve as the receptionist at the Keller Dental Department. The Keller Dental office includes the dentist and two dental assistants. These professionals maintain a busy schedule by providing full-service dental care to both Tribal Members and those that reside in the surrounding communities. The goal for this position is to contribute to the overall patient satisfaction of their dental service experience. In addition, the dental team works with a diverse group of health providers including medical staff, behavioral health professionals, and physical therapists.
The Dental Receptionist is responsible for greeting and welcoming all that visit or contact the dental office. In addition, this person may fill in at the medical receptionistâs desk when needed. The position will require specific features, such as:
A professional, yet friendly demeanor and a clear understanding that excellent customer service is a priority.
Ability to quickly learn the scheduling software and scheduling process for the dental staff.
Ability to handle all administrative functions for the dental operations including ordering office supplies, performing various office duties, and communicating with other staff on the needs of the office.
A general knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
A willingness to work extra hours (on rare occasions) as needed.
Ability to understand and practice confidentiality in all that you do.
Above average attendance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to work independently, be detail oriented, organized and work under pressure.
Must understand the importance and be able to meet deadlines.
An understanding of scheduling, including the ability to do what is necessary to modify schedules to ensure that there are few lapses in the staffâs schedule.
Use initiative and independent judgement in performance and work with a minimum of supervision.
Assist with cleaning of the office and the ability to work with maintenance staff for major clean-ups and/or repairs.
Average knowledge of Microsoft Office software and various other software products that will enhance the ability to do their job.
Communicate with dental insurance plans to determine the benefits and payment processing for patients. This may include determining and collecting co-payments.
Ability to perform all basic office duties.
Education, Licenses, Certification and Experience
High School Diploma / GED
A valid Washington State driver's license is required and must be eligible for the Colville Tribes vehicle insurance and maintained throughout employment.
Basic Life Support, HIPAA and Privacy Act training certification is required within 90 days of hire.
A background check will be required with clearance maintained throughout employment.
Tribal member and Indian and veteran preference will apply.
Working Conditions
LRCHC has ADA compliant facilities. The position requires the ability to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time. May require lifting of 15 â 50 lbs. Ability to read words and numbers and do basic math.
