Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with our dentists and dental hygienists to provide exceptional patient care. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing and arranging instruments and equipment
- Assist dentists and dental hygienists during procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning fluids, and providing other support as needed
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Perform basic medical imaging procedures such as intraoral and extraoral imaging
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection
- Record vital signs of patients, including blood pressure, pulse rate, and temperature
- Update and maintain accurate patient medical records using Dentrix or similar software
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow within the dental office
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
- Proficient in medical documentation and codinge procedures
- Skilled in taking dental x-rays and performing medical imaging procedures
- Knowledge of aseptic technique to ensure infection control
- Familiarity with taking vital signs and recording patient information accurately
- Experience with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software is preferred
- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
