Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, perform administrative tasks, and ensure excellent patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs- Take and develop dental x-rays- Make impressions of patients' teeth for study casts- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies- Perform various office tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures- Familiarity with CAD software for dental applications- Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus- Proficiency in Dentrix and Eaglesoft systems- Understanding of medical coding principles- Ability to take vital signs accurately- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
- Spanish Bilingual (required)
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft software- Proficiency in aseptic technique for infection control
