Rockton Dental Care is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Dental Hygienist to join our well-established, relationship-based family Dental office.
Our practice, located in Rockton, IL, has been doctor-owned and operated for 32 years. We focus on building strong relationships with our patients to provide excellent dental care for the community.
Dental Hygienist Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Prepare treatment room by adhering to protocols and procedures
· Select equipment and materials by examining the oral health of the patient
· Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, seating, draping, and soothing patients
· Maintain instrumentation by sterilizing, sharpening, and selecting instruments
· Apply fluoride and other agents to prevent cavities
· Clean patients’ teeth using a variety of methods and tools
· Prepare and take dental x-rays
· Detect disease by examining gums, screening for oral cancer, and assessing levels of periodontal disease
· Educate patients about good oral hygiene including plaque control and postoperative instructions
· Administer anesthetics
· Document services by recording dental histories and recording visits in patients’ chart
· Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with regulations, rules, and procedures Maintain patient confidentiality
Schedule:
Tuesday: 8:00am-5pm
Wednesday: 8:00am-5:00pm
Thursday:8:00-5:00pm
Friday: 7:00am-1:00pm
RDH Requirements and Qualifications
· Good verbal and written communication skills
· Positive demeanor and attitude
· Associate degree in dental hygiene
· Active Illinois state Dental hygienist license
· Basic life support certification

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
