This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Duties

Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all medical records are up-to-date and compliant with HIPAA standards.
Assist in the preparation of treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean and equipped according to aseptic techniques.
Support dental professionals during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Take and record vital signs as needed, ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit.
Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic for managing patient information and scheduling.
Educate patients on post-treatment care and provide instructions for follow-up visits.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow within the office, particularly in areas such as endodontics and general dentistry.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a chariside dental assistant required.
Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures is essential; experience in endodontics is a plus.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality is required.
Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and assist with basic clinical tasks.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in medical records management.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Aseptic technique knowledge is preferred for maintaining cleanliness and safety in the clinical environment.
