Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dental team with various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.- Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for use, adhering to sterilization protocols.- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.- Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical records, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.- Utilize Dentrix Ascend software for scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and maintaining accurate medical records.- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.- Support various dental specialties such as Prosthodontics and Endodontics by preparing necessary materials and instruments.- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.- Operate 3D scanners for imaging as required.
Experience- Previous experience in dental assisting is required.- Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous for effective communication within the healthcare setting.- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.- Experience with medical documentation processes will be beneficial in maintaining accurate patient records.- Proficiency in using Dentrix or similar dental software is a plus.- Understanding of various dental procedures, including but not limited to endodontics and prosthodontics.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.25 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 – 42 per week
