Duties- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment- Take dental x-rays- Perform dental charting and recordkeeping- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records- Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment
Skills- Proficient in HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and equipment- Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating dental prosthetics- Experience in assisting with various dental procedures, such as fillings, extractions, and root canals- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems- Ability to take accurate vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse rate- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members
