Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and maintain the treatment room, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Take and develop dental X-rays as required.
Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Manage patient records using Open Dental software.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Assist in the management of inventory and ordering of dental supplies.
Support prosthodontic procedures as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required.
Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is a plus.
Experience with prosthodontics and general dentistry practices is beneficial.
Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Open Dental is desirable.
Ability to take vital signs and understand their significance in patient care.
Strong communication skills with a focus on patient interaction and education.
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential.
