Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will support dental professionals in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the practice. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and the ability to assist in various dental procedures.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency.
Prepare and maintain the dental operatory, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
Manage patient records by accurately documenting medical history and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide excellent patient care by reassuring patients, explaining procedures, and answering questions.
Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions or fabricating temporary crowns as needed.
Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties when required, including answering phones and handling patient inquiries.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic according to infection control protocols.
Skills
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
Proficiency in assisting with various dental procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Familiarity with medical terminology and dental terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, enhancing our ability to cater to younger patients.
Strong organizational skills for managing medical documentation accurately.
Ability to apply aseptic techniques consistently during procedures to maintain a safe environment.
Previous experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous for managing front office responsibilities.

Pay: $15.49 - $16.26 per hour
