Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other dental professionals.
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations on patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Assess patients' oral health by reviewing medical records and taking vital signs as necessary.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Utilize dental terminology effectively in communication with both patients and staff.
Maintain accurate medical records using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
Adhere to aseptic techniques to maintain a safe and sterile environment in the dental clinic.
Assist the dentist during procedures as needed, providing support and ensuring patient comfort throughout treatments.
Experience
Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with medical terminology and ability to understand dental terminology is essential.
Experience with Dentrix or Eaglesoft software is a plus, enhancing efficiency in patient record management.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is beneficial for working with younger patients.
A valid Dental Hygienist license is required for this position, along with any necessary certifications related to dental hygiene practices.
