Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to promoting oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a critical role in providing preventative dental care, educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft or similar dental software, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed, demonstrating knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience in pediatrics is preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and HIPAA regulations.
Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental software is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Familiarity with dental assisting tasks is advantageous but not mandatory.
