Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care by performing dental hygiene procedures, educating patients on oral health, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the documentation of patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Perform medical imaging procedures as needed to support diagnostic efforts.
Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide comprehensive patient care.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with medical coding, dental assisting, and general dentistry practices is advantageous.
Knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology is essential.
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is a plus.
Ability to operate various dental systems and equipment effectively.
