Job Description

Our office is looking for a reliable and efficient dental assistant for our office in Roland Park. We are focus on quality patient care, and therefore, we want someone who has a friendly upbeat attitude, and practices good customer service. Every office is different so we want someone who is reasonably quick learner and possesses a “can do” disposition. Our office hours are Monday-Thursday from 7:00AM-4:00PM.
We are a privately owned, non-corporate office.
REQUIREMENT: Active Maryland Dental Radiology Technologist license
Desired Qualifications:
· 1 or more years assisting general dentist preferred but we will consider new grads
· Be able to take accurate digital BWs, PAs, FMXs, and Panorex x-rays
· Familiarity/proficiency with SoftDent
· Has a level of comfort doing front desk duties (i.e. insurance verifications, calling/scheduling patients, etc.)
· Expanded Functions Certification ideal
General Duties:
· Assisting dentist chairside during a variety of procedures
· Take digital x-rays efficiently
· Breakdown and set up rooms
· Call and schedule patients on SoftDent as needed
· Answer phone calls as needed
· Stock operatories
· Keep practice clean and orderly
Qualifications are not set in stone as the dentist is willing to train someone who fits the practice in disposition and attitude -- this is where the willingness as well as the ability to learn is important. Hourly rate will be based on experience, qualifications, and performance during working interview(s) and 90 day trial period.
