Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for providing outstanding care patients.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas to ensure a sterile environment.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions.
Manage patient records and documentation effectively, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards.
Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Utilize 3D scanning technology for dental imaging when necessary.
ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and experience:
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
Experience in pediatrics is a plus, enhancing our ability to cater to younger patients effectively.
Knowledge of medical documentation practices and maintaining accurate medical records is required.
Proficiency in using medical imaging equipment, including 3D scanners, is preferred.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar administrative role is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
