Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated, skilled and licensed Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dental clinic. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team with various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both children and adults.
Responsibilities- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards.- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments as needed.- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.- Support the front office staff with administrative tasks as needed, including answering phones and managing patient inquiries.
Skills- Experience working in a dental clinic setting is preferred.- Proficiency in assisting with various dental procedures, including Endodontics and Prosthodontics.- Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.- Knowledge of infection control practices and protocols.- Understanding of medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry.- Ability to work effectively with pediatric patients, demonstrating patience and empathy.- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must have X Ray Certifcation. At least 3 years experince.
