Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional dental services while maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials in accordance with infection control protocols.
Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to ensure patient safety.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Manage patient records, including medical coding and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and adherence to infection control standards.
Utilize dental terminology effectively for communication with patients and staff.
Support the front office with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
Familiarity with prosthodontics procedures is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing patient records and office tasks.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while providing excellent patient care.
Understanding of medical coding and medical terminology is beneficial.
Must be committed to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
