Job Description

Dental Assistant
We are looking for a well-rounded Dental Assistant to join our team. Compensation may be determined by a candidate's experience and readiness to contribute with the following:
Responsibilities

Ensure patients have accurate financial plan and consents before treatment begins
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Sterilize instruments and rooms
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
Monitor cases sent to lab
Provide post-operative care instructions
Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
Manage inventory of supplies and assist with supplies ordering
Schedule appointments
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
Take intraoral/extraoral radiographs and dental photos

Skills

Experience as dental assistant is preferred
Knowledge of OpenDental and DEXIS is a plus
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Excellent communication and people skills
Well-organized and reliable
Must have x-ray certification

Candidate should be comfortable with a wide range of dental procedures, including endodontics and implants. Experience using intraoral scanners, CBCT, 3D printers is preferred, not required, but learning these will be a must for this position. The practice will be adding sedation in 2025, so experience in conscious sedation and nitrous oxide will be a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 33 per week
