Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and adherence to aseptic techniques.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for examinations and treatments.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Manage patient records, including medical documentation and treatment plans, utilizing software such as Epic or Eaglesoft.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
Support pediatric dentistry procedures with a focus on creating a comfortable environment for young patients.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Assist in endodontics procedures when necessary, demonstrating knowledge of relevant anatomy.
ExperienceCandidates should possess the following skills and experience:
Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with medical documentation practices.
Experience with aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards.
Knowledge of dental software systems such as Eaglesoft is preferred but not mandatory.
Understanding of four-handed dentistry principles is beneficial.
A solid foundation in anatomy knowledge related to dental care is essential.
Prior experience functioning as a dental receptionist may be helpful for managing patient interactions effectively.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
