Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures in areas such as General Dentistry, Prosthodontics, and Pediatric Dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take X-rays as directed by the dentist while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems like Dentrix.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency.
Communicate effectively with patients to alleviate anxiety and provide support throughout their visit.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and equipment is essential.
Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Dentrix, is advantageous.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and safety protocols in a dental environment is required.
Ability to take X-rays following established guidelines.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
