Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at Pearl32 family dentistry. We are a slow paced office seeing 6-8 patients in a day making it an employee friendly, stress free working environment. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for promoting oral health.
Duties:- Perform dental cleanings, including removing plaque and tartar buildup- Conduct thorough examinations of patients' teeth and gums- Take dental x-rays ( digital sensors in office )- Administer local anesthesia as needed- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems. We have Patterson fuse software.- Follow infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Experience:- Valid state dental hygiene license- Prior experience is not necessary- Proficiency in using dental software- Knowledge of medical coding for accurate billing and insurance claims submission- Familiarity with taking vital signs and conducting patient assessments
