Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, infection control protocols, and excellent communication skills to support both the clinical team and our patients.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations and treatments.
Prepare and maintain the dental operatory, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use.
Take and develop medical imaging as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Record patient vital signs and medical history accurately in the electronic health record system (Epic).
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Implement aseptic techniques and infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Manage patient flow within the clinic to optimize appointment schedules and reduce wait times.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting.
Familiarity with dental systems, procedures, and terminology.
Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Ability to take vital signs accurately.
Proficient in medical imaging techniques.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Certification in dental assisting is mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 â 45 per week
